Dear Friend,
On Tuesday,
June 8th, you will go
to the polls to select a person
to represent you on the Greenville
County Council - to be
your voice
in shaping the community where your
children and grandchildren will
pursue their dreams.
I want to
continue being that voice.
I believe I have the leadership
skills, integrity and work ethic
to be the councilman you deserve.

As
a longtime
resident of District 28,
I understand we are at a critical
point and that challenges face us
as we guide Greenville County's
growth. We must embrace new ideas
while respecting the rich tradition
and beautiful places we are so proud
of.
I am a
strong Republican, and
I believe in the
conservative
values of the Republican Party.
I believe these principles teach
financial and personal responsibility
and are just plain good values to
live by.
Our economic development efforts
must
intensify and be carefully designed
to attract businesses that will
enhance the family-friendly environment
in Greenville County. This will
increase
our tax base to fund
necessary infrastructure improvements,
maintain our quality schools and
improve workforce and technical
education.
Aggressive economic development
depends on shaping a network of
contacts through the many agencies,
boards and state departments who
oversee programs that provide resources
to counties.
I am very experienced at building
these types of win-win partnerships
- it's what I've done in the business
world for many years.
Through consistent and methodical
planning, with a goal of steady,
controlled
growth, we can attract
businesses and developments that
are compatible with our family-oriented
vision for Greenville County.
Our County’s
future depends on having a County
Council whose members share a commitment
to move the county forward while
maintaining the quality and character
of the community.
A key element of any county is the
consistent
planning for infrastructure improvements.
Addressing traffic flow is one of
the fundamentals of infrastructure.
Through future planning using quantified
“corridors, centers and communities”
concepts, Greenville County will
face the future proactively and
be postured for positive growth.
As a former college president, development
officer and foundation board member,
I have
developed a critical understanding
of the importance of planning.
I want to continue applying this
knowledge to benefit our growing
county.
We must
strategically position our county
for
quality growth, capitalize
on our strengths, manage our resources
efficiently and aggressively promote
our area to old and new businesses
like BMW and Proterra. Working
TOGETHER
with other community leaders we
can shape a bright future for Greenville
County.
Leadership is
about
the future and I want to be your
conservative leader for District 28!
Please
vote for Fred Payne for County Council
on June 8!
With sincere thanks for your support,
Fred Payne
